Parikia – Paros, Greece

On our last day in Paros, we headed west to Parikia, the capital of Paros. If you are travelling to Paros, this is where you would arrive by ferry.

It is much bigger than Naousa but still has the charm of the little Cyclades villages, with white and blue houses, cobbled streets and plenty of boutiques.

As with all other Cyclades towns, explore the place by getting lost in the little streets, enjoying a drink at a terrace and doing a bit of shopping.

Meet some of the locals, some of them are busy having a nap or people watching…

One sight not to miss is the church of Panagia Ekatontapiliani. It was built during the Byzantine era and it’s architecture really stands out with sand colour stones.

After days at the beach or exploring quiet villages it was nice to have a bit of the ‘city buzz’ back.

4 days in Kyoto – highlights

This Spring we took a trip of a lifetime. We went to Japan!

It was on our wander list for a very long time, so we decided to bite the bullet and use all our miles to make it across the world to the Land of the Rising Sun. We were not disappointed, Japan is EVERYTHING you imagine it to be. We were soooo ready for it that we didn’t even experience any cultural shock! We just embraced it all!

I did a bit of filming while there and here is the first highlight video of my ‘Japan series’ – 4 days in Kyoto.

I will, of course, share all the details of our trip in several blog posts coming soon, so watch this space!

Beach time

Brazil really has some of the most beautiful beaches in the world. Also it’s so big you’ll always find space for your towel!
