Christmas 2018 – Interior gift guide

Got a new place or helping a friend making a house their home this Christmas? This interior gift guide is for you! There is nothing that brings me more joy than getting a little something for my house (that is if it is in keeping with my favourite style of course), so I gathered five gift ideas which should help elevate even the smallest guest bathroom.

1 – Marks & Spencer Mandarin, Cinnamon and Clove room scent

The Marks and Spencer Mandarin, Cinnamon and Clove home fragrance is by far my favourite room scent. The candle, the diffuser I have all the products! What I particularly love about it is that even though it is part of their Christmas collection it is a great all-year-round scent.

I particularly love to have a Mandarin, Cinnamon & Clove diffuser in our guest bathroom. The scent is warm and luxurious, miles away from the sometimes sickening ‘clean’ bathroom scent. I use M&S 3 for 2 offer on Christmas products to stock up for the year.

2 – The Monocle books

Monocle is a beautifully curated and edited lifestyle and current affair magazine. They have also have done series of books compiling the best of their articles. Not only the books are interesting but they are also beautiful to look at and will dress nicely any bookshelves. Each book has a different theme and with lifestyle, home, food, business and current affairs to chose from you should find a book for anyone.

Monocle has also done some beautiful travel guides which should please any edgy and trendy traveller. And if like me you love a good interior book I have listed my favourite sources of inspiration when decorating my home here.

3 – Wall art from Juniqe

Wall art can truly elevate the style of a room and you don’t have to spend a fortune to invest in a few good pieces. Places like Juniqe have a very wide range of styles and sizes which should suit most interiors.

Last year, my sister treated me to a framed print from Juniqe after seeing it in my interior gift guide and I couldn’t have been more pleased! It hangs proudly in our living room.

4 – Le Creuset Aerating Wine Decanter

An item who often lands low on the list of priorities for a home but a perfect gift to gives as very few people will ever bother buying a decanter for themselves. After all, there are bills to pay and a pan or kettle to replace first. Andrew loves his wine and had been talking about getting a decanter for some time, yet he never treated himself to one, so last year I got him the Le Creuset Aerating Wine Decanter. He was so pleased with it!

Le Creuset Aerating Wine Decanter is great as it comes with an aerator helping pour the wine easily into the decanter and improving it at the same time! A gift which will make any wine lover feel a bit fancier.

5 – Magimix food processor

Last year we treated ourselves to a Magimix food processor with the help of Andrew’s parents. It was a real splurge and we were slightly concerned we wouldn’t use it that much. How wrong were we! We haven’t stopped using it since getting it. We got the 3200XL model which is more than enough for a household of 2 to 4 people.

Not as expensive as a Thermomix, very robust and with a simple streamlined design almost as iconic as a KitchenAid the Magimix food processor will become best friend with anyone who loves cooking.

Need more gift ideas? I have also done a housewarming gift guide as well as a travel and beauty one!
